Let’s Play

One or more person that record themselves playing video games through screenshots or captured video.  Let’s Plays can consist of jokes frustration, explanation of GAME PLAY, easter eggs, and general trivia pertaining to the game being played

Space Quest I: the Sarien Encounter – My first LP.  I did this one safe, not asking for audience input.

Space Quest II: Vohual’s Revenge – Begun directly after my SQ1 LP it follows the same format, though I might have tried to make a few bad jokes in this one.

Space Quest III: The Pirates of Pestulon – More bad jokes.

Space Quest I VGA – After completing the first three Space Quest games I did this LP as a bonus.  While audience participation was again left out.  I went to some lengths to point out the differences between this re-make and the original.

Pro Wrestling – The Space Quest games were all done at the same time and so I consider this LP to be my sophomore effort.  With the game being as simple as it is I experimented more with the format.  There is a great deal more humor as well as videos with spliced in audio commentary.

Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest – Someone else started this LP but then life got busy and it was abandoned for a time.  I asked if I could take over it and see it finished.  Sadly, after talking control of the LP my own computer broke down and I was unable to finish it.  Luckily, I had a friend who was able to wrap it all up.

King’s Quest I: Quest for the Crown –  I plan on doing the first four games in the King’s Quest series.  Someone else on the forum (coincidently, he is the same guy who finished the Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest LP has already done the later games in the series.) This is now complete.

King’s Quest II: Romancing the Throne – My attempt in this LP was to try and provide the readers as much control as possible while attempting to keep the posts entertaining and enjoyable. I also focused on highlighting the large amount of descriptive text these early adventure games had. The nature of adventures games makes reader participation difficult, at times.

King’s Quest III: To Heir is Human – This is not my best work. The game isn’t Roberta Williams best work either… But, that isn’t a very good excuse. The truth is I was (and am) working on a lot of projects and the ones I was least excited about took a hit in quality. It isn’t bad per se, merely adequate.

King’s Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella – I blind ran this Let’s Play, still managing to get a perfect score and beating the game in just under an hour. Yes, the reason I could do that was because as a wee lad I memorized it. Still, I was impressed with how much (everything) I recalled.

Street Fighter 2010 – This isn’t an easy game to Let’s Play especially as a picture LP. The game’s design did not do me any favors… Every screenshot looks the same and fails to describe any sense what as happening. I would have shifted to a video LP if I was at all confident in my ability to entertain people with my voice for extended periods of time and I had the technical expertise to pull it off.

Quest for Glory: So You Want to be a Hero? – The first game in my favorite series from Sierra On-line.

Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire – The further adventures of Garcon Perseii Jackson Danar Seepgood III

Quest for Glory III: Wages of War – The continuing adventures of Garcon Perseii Jackson Danar Seepgood III, this time in the jungles and savannas of Fricana.

  1. Where can I find the music from KQ4 (adlib) that you have posted on your Let’s Play page? The only clips I can find are the MT-32.
